Hasn't it always been this way? When was the last time housing was ever truly affordable for the masses? Even when houses were 'cheap' back in the '60s, wages were so much lower too, and far fewer borrowing options compared to today.

There is also the tremendous boost in “hidden wealth” by homeowners who have seen their home’s value (and their equity) as much as double in the past five years.
