I've been using smmry off and on for as long as I can remember (maybe a decade)? And it's always felt like absolute magic to me.

I loved how you could give it how many paragraphs you wanted to summarize a longer text into, and it could just magically do it.

To this day, I have no idea how they did it (this is pre-transformers). Now that they're shutting down, I really hope they release the source code, just for us to get a glimpse behind the magic.

Let me guess...ChatGPT throw them out of the market, thanks to how summary works, depending how you ask your questions?
