Hey HN community,

I’ve been working on a project called DIY-it, and I’d love to get your feedback on it. The idea came from personal frustration while working on home improvement projects—constantly jumping between YouTube, blogs, and Pinterest for decent tutorials, only to find incomplete or ad-heavy instructions.

DIY-it aims to centralize all DIY projects in one platform, making it easier to find, create, and share DIY projects. The key feature I'm excited about is DIY-it, where users can upload a photo of anything they want to recreate, and it generates a step-by-step tutorial with a materials/tools list.

I’m curious to hear from others:

What are your thoughts on the idea of centralizing DIY content? Have you faced similar frustrations in your own DIY or creative projects? What would be a deal-breaker or must-have feature for a platform like this? Any advice for scaling or improving this concept? I’d really appreciate any feedback or suggestions. Thanks!
