This company can do no wrong. The sensor is still pretty small (1/2 inch) but not tiny. But Insta360's computational progoraphy kicks ass and they seem to find great parts to work from.

The pan-scan one looks really interesting. It feels like this is the domain of $1000+++ conference gear, and now it's an affordable consumer offering in brilliant 4k. I'm very excited for this.

Hopefully some brave souls can make it work pretty well in Linux, get at some of its capabilities. Maybe we can get their Android app going under wine/photon? That'd be half as good, not bad. Programmatic control would radically expand the usability of this so much though!
