So this is a plan, and one of the questions is: how realistic it is? That is, do we have some good enough precedents in history when something like this was done and results were something like what here's declared? The author mentions some examples, more would be better.

"Something done" means that we want all parts of the plan being executable, with some reasonable results, which would allow following the plan further. Plans usually don't survive the collision with the reality - especially if we're talking about conquering an adversary - but the planning process at least is still important.

In principle the sketch is clear. What about the details? How, for example, we'd start, precisely?
