Am I the only one who thinks "Smart Homes" are a dumb idea? My friends have had nothing but trouble and are constantly troubleshooting until one just gave up.

I actually prefer my TV to be dumb. My refrigerator - well, I wasn't able to sync my phone with it and then I realized what the hell am I doing? Why do I care about my refrigerator? It might be nice to sync my new oven with my phone so I know when it's preheated, but after the experience with my refrigerator, I haven't even tried. Hell with it.

I'd like a smart thermostat, but they're all stupid. I want a thermostat where I can set the relative humidity and it maintain that humidity (for Summer). I care about humidity more than I care about temperature. Though actually I'd like to set both - keep it at X humidity and if the temperature exceeds Y then cool it down. Haven't found a thermostat that can do that.

I've thrown in the towel on the smart home.
