Why do obesity drugs seem to treat so many other ailments?

Increasing amounts of hormones could lead to less body own production, because there is enough present.

Receptor sensitivity could be altered after intake stop.

A study would be interesting which would apply Proglucagon the precursor to Glucagon and similar hormones to see if it would increase the amount of Glucagon naturally. But as far as I understand there wouldn’t be a patent potential for this approach.

I was curious how much of these benefits are just due to not being obese, but sounds like from article even accounting for that there are still increases in incidence of heart attacks and other serious ailments. Novo Nordisk just can't stop winning lol
