This is an interesting idea! Could you put some examples of the recommendations the system generates on the home page?

Yep! In the dashboard page for non-logged in users, you can see recommendations in the details page: https://www.krestrel.com/examples/friend/5.
It'll vary between google, youtube, or general "hey, how are you" kind of statements depending on the person's interests.
