Companies are between a rock and a hard place here ... my wife and I have explicit details for how to hand over and/or take over each other's accounts. Even then we know we are technically in breach of the terms and conditions about sharing passwords, etc., but if someone is bereaved and dealing with a death, the last thing they need is also to be dealing with corporate insensitivity.
