I remember this guide, as well as the Binky guide to pointers that was also on Stanford’s website. I didn’t go to Stanford, but nearly 20 years ago I took a C course at Sacramento City College. This guide, Binky’s guide to pointers, and K&R were my main references. These Stanford guides were so helpful!

C was my main language throughout my undergrad years at Cal Poly and my grad school years at UC Santa Cruz; my research area was in storage systems and I used to be a Ken Thompson/Dennis Ritchie wannabe before I got bit by the PL theory bug in grad school. Now I long for modern-day Lisp machines.
