Who will continue funding that madness at Ukraine on top of luck of live bodies to throw out and low morale and out of therm de facto local dictatorship? US and UK and EU with their skyrocketing debt, legs self shooted sanctions, luck of cheap resources, china dependence, internal country management chaos and concurrency among the "ally" for the left limited resources? On top of the main goal - the battle for the South Asia market - that silly long time lasting Ukraine adventure is just annoying distraction that drains huge amount of resources and dismantle the EU as economic rival as wanted side effect.

Getting Russia to give up on an invasion is a reasonable goal.

Afghanistan and Vietnam "defeated" the US with the same objective, so it's far from impossible.

And the US was far more resourced than Russia currently is. If Ukraine can keep up with attacks on Russian petroleum infra into winter, it could permanently shut a material amount of their production capacity for years.

Call it what you want.

But given the 10 percent of GDP they need to burn annually to keep the wheels on their optional colonial project turning -- they only have so much runway.

Ukraine, by contrast -- just needs to survive. In that sense, they have a lot more going for them.
