I miss the days when popping out the battery was designed into the devices.

I understand why that is now. But it's interesting that few - none? - of the major manufactures offer a model with a removable battery (as a way to position a given product as unique / different).

It's probably just because not many people want this.

It's similar to complaints about overly large phones. When manufacturers have made smaller phone models in response to these complaints, it turns out that not many people buy them.

Wait, what?! There is such a thing as a bond (glue) that will “debond” by applying a voltage? And that’s built into every iPhone 16?

Gone are the days of sketchily using a hairdryer, apparently.
