The same people who told us that endless identical tiles was the best interface for Windows and that a ribbon was a good interface for Office are now suggesting that adding a bunch of goo-ga décor to icons is going to reduce cognitive burden?

I'm not convinced.

I do hope I never have to use a UI designed by that author.
