According to the CEO:
"My point of view is we should be together as much as possible. You need to figure out where you need to be to get your job done, then do that,” he said. “We’re all adults here."
A lot of us adults figured out a long time ago that the only place we need to be to get our job done is near an internet connection.
They are subsidizing public transit to get to the office it says, but also the private jet for the CEO a 1000 miles away. Classism internally is a great way to encourage unions. I see why they are popping up.
That aside, I wonder how much a coffee company's management/sales/etc truly need to be together in an office. With executives that have a certain type of personality, where the employees need to drink some of the kool-aid so to speak, a remote staff wouldn't work as well.
