Germany has a tough decision ahead.

Do they import the 10x subsidized Chinese EVs and destroy their auto industry or do they go all in on the green deal and buy up everything from China to accelerate the EV adoption.

A decision that could have been avoided entirely if any of the European or American automotive companies seriously focused on battery evs. They wasted decades.

As an American consumer, I'm pissed at our companies. I was I to building small evs in my teens, and back then the only good source for batteries was used power tool pack salvage.

They refused to let any bare cells enter the American market for years with exclusive deals. Guess who I could eventually buy them from though? Chinese suppliers.

Seems like a buying opportunity. Recall means drop in short term profit. Long term fundamentals should be the same. The value before the recall should be the value after the recall passes. Unless there are other fundamental problems unrelated to the recall.
